Prices keep stopping at certain levels. Here's how to spot the floor and ceiling.

On a chart, prices tend to stop or bounce at certain levels. The floor that holds prices up is support; the ceiling that caps them is resistance.

When price breaks above resistance, that line often becomes new support — and vice versa. That's why investors watch these levels closely.
